SPRINGFIELD, IL—A field full of young superstars coupled with the experience and strength of career LPGA golfers is what spectators at the LPGA State Farm Classic will see in 2008.

Christina Kim, Jane Park, Michelle Wie, Yani Tseng, Nancy Lopez, Leta Lindley and Pat Hurst are among the ladies who will play in the 2008 LPGA State Farm Classic July 17-20 at Panther Creek Country Club, Executive Director Kate Peters announced today. The full field list for the tournament includes144 of the most talented golfers from around the world.

“We have an exciting range of players in the State Farm Classic this year,” Peters said. “The young, future superstars of the tour like Yani Tseng, who just won the McDonalds LPGA Championship, Leta Lindley, who took her first career win at the Corning Classic this year and Vicky Hurst, who at has taken three wins on the FUTURES Tour in 2008, will join a field with women who have shaped the game over the years like Nancy Lopez and Pat Hurst. We’re preparing for a fantastic event.
